Behnaz was born in Iran but left the country at a young age. Growing up across various countries and cultures, she was exposed to a rich diversity of perspectives that shaped her artistic sensibilities. Her father, a painter himself, introduced her early to the world of colors and forms, sparking a deep fascination with art that would profoundly influence her life.

As a self-taught artist, Behnaz’s journey has been shaped by curiosity, experimentation, and the rich cultural environments she has encountered throughout her life. This independent path has allowed her to develop a unique voice, unbound by traditional frameworks, and deeply connected to her personal experiences.

Today, Behnaz is an internationally recognized multimedia artist. Her artistic practice spans painting, photography, and short films. Her works have been showcased in numerous exhibitions and festivals worldwide, earning acclaim for their evocative depth and innovative expression.

Behnaz’s art is a captivating exploration of fluidity and transformation. Her paintings, with their vibrant colors and dynamic compositions, create an ethereal realm where abstract forms and hidden narratives intertwine. The rich textures and layered elements invite a dialogue between inner emotions and external forces, urging viewers to immerse themselves in a world of endless discovery.

Through her diverse artistic mediums, including painting, photography, and short films, Behnaz delves into the intricate interplay between visual elements and human emotions. Her work resonates with universal themes while maintaining a deeply personal and introspective core, bridging the gap between the seen and the unseen.

Artist’s Statement

My work reflects a deep connection to my inner world—sometimes spontaneous and introspective, other times shaped by the social and cultural challenges around me. Each piece emerges as fluid, shifting forms and characters that seem to challenge me to give them permanence and a tangible identity.

I view my creative process as an exploration into the unknown, where each artwork takes shape organically through color, texture, and form. Whether driven by personal emotions or inspired by external realities, my work invites both the viewer and myself to uncover hidden layers of meaning, transforming fleeting moments into enduring visual expressions.
